A Short Ancient Greek Translation - Aesop’s Fable 13 - "Fleeting Joys and Fleeing Fish" - From the Book "From Alpha to Omega"

Aesop’s Fable 13 - Fleeting Joys and Fleeing Fish

"The fishermen drag the net in the river. When they are about to have many fish, they rejoice and dance. But when they look into the net it is not time to rejoice. They hold stones, not fish. They no longer rejoice. They no longer dance in the road. But the experience will teach the fishermen. The gods send joys to men, but also pains. Pain is the sister of joy."
