Old Habits Never Die - Aesop's Fable 50 - A Short Greek Translation
Stephen Alexander Beach
"Aphrodite changes the weasel into a girl. A young man marries the girl. But the goddess is about to make trial of the girl. Still the girl will have the habits of the weasel. Aphrodite sends a mouse into the house of the girl. The girl chases the mouse. Don't chase, O girl. You are no longer a weasel. But the girl chases the mouse. The goddess changes the girl back into the weasel. Even Aphrodite cannot change habits."
Old Habits Never Die
(Aesop’s Fable 50)
