Exercise 67 - Caedes Christianorum
Erant multi Christiani in imperio Romanorum.

After the coming of Christ the light of truth was in the world, but the Romans were not friends of Christ and of the truth. Christians however were friends of Christ. There were many Christians in the empire of the Romans. They were in the harbors and in the towns of the provinces and in the forests and in the mountains. They are in the army and in the cavalry and in the senate. They were servants and soldiers; they were mothers and fathers, Gauls and Romans. On account of fear of Christ the king however and on account of the name of the God of the Christians the Romans slaughtered the Christians. After the slaughter of the Christians, the Romans were not friends and servants of God. Christians however, because the Romans slaughtered the Christians on account of the law of Christ, now are in Heaven with Mary and Christ and they see the glory of God the Father.
