Aesop's Fable 66 - "The Bear Tells All"
The two friends were hastening by means of the road, the into the countryside road. When they see a bear, one boys flees and finds safety in a tree, the other boy is not able to flee. Therefore, he was acting dead. The bear sniffs the ear of the one acting dead, the other he abandons. The one boy is happy and hastens from the tree, the other boy is not happy. He says to his friend: "The friend who when in dangers leaves a friend, he is not a true friend. This the bear was saying, O unworthy one, when he was sniffing my ears."
